Thomas Ahlström named chair of Suominen’s nomination board

Protects interests of AC Invest, company's largest stockholder.

Thomas Ahlström has been appointed chairman of Suominen’s nomination board. Following Ahlstrom’s share of 66.6 million Suominen share to AC Invest, ACE Invest is now Suominen’s largest share holder. This alows AC Invest, a group company of Ahlstrom Capital Oy,   to nominate a representative to Suominen’s Nomination Board, and consequently, the composition of the Nomination Board changes. Marco Levi, CEO of Ahlstrom Corporation and chairman of the Suominen’s nomination board, has resigned from his position and  Ahlström, managing director of Antti Ahlström Perilliset Oy and a member of the board of directors at Ahlström Capital Oy, has been nominated to represent AC Invest Two B.V.  The other members of the Nomination Board of Suominen Corporation are, as announced on in September: Timo Ritakallio, Deputy CEO of Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company; Reima Rytsölä, Chief Investment Officer of Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company; and Jorma Eloranta, chair of Suominen’s Board of Directors.
